Built in the 1920s, The Famous Spiegeltent is the first of its kind and returns to Canberra on 19 February 2016. With some amazing talent under the big top, we want to give you a taste of what to expect and who to look out for when you visit this summer.

Who: Robyn Archer
What: Known for curating the Centenary of Canberra as well as her one-woman shows, original songs and recordings, Robyn Archer is a household name and has been part of some of Australia’s best arts festivals.
At The Famous Spiegeltent Robyn will be performing her one-woman show The (other) American Songbook. The night will include songs written during the American Civil War to present day, portraying a different side to the country – including drought, depression, booze, gambling and other sins.
When: Friday 19 Feb and Saturday 20 Feb at 6:30pm.

Who: Steve Poltz
What: Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist and founding member of the indie-rock band The Rugburns, Steve Poltz, is here for one night only. Described by his fans as ‘both sides of the equator’ Steve is regarded as one of the most talented songwriters of his generation.
When: Poltz visits The Famous Spiegeltent, fans can expect improvisational song-writing as he guides you through an evening of works without a set-list.

Who: Dolly Diamond (aka Michael Dalton)
What: Dolly Diamond is the creation of solo singer and performer Michael Dalton. Known for his appearances on Hey Hey it’s Saturday, The Bert Newton Show and understudy for The Rocky Horror Show. Michael created the Dolly Diamond character in the late 90s and it is this character that he is bringing to Canberra.
It’s a great privilege to have such a performer – and his stage character – grace the stage of The Famous Spiegeltent. His show, Alive & Intimate is a wickedly funny cabaret extravaganza that has achieved sell out performances across the country.

Who: Paul Zenon
What: Paul Zenon is a UK trickster, magician and comedian who is bringing his talents to The Famous Spiegeltent this summer. As a Gold Star Member of The Inner Magic Circle and a pioneer of the TV ‘street magic’ scene, fans can expect illusion, misdirection and a stellar performance by the UK act.
Born to entertain, Zenon has performed at some of the most eclectic venues around the world including the jungles of Belize and the Mirage Casino Las Vegas!
