Aussie DJ tyDi was awarded the International Dance Music Awards ‘Best Break Through DJ of the world’ by Tiesto. If that isn’t enough praise for his good work, tyDi also hosts his own weekly worldwide radio show, ‘Global Soundsystem’ which reaches over 30 countries across the globe.
Friday night sported keen dance floor followers to see tyDi perform at Academy Nightclub on Friday June 1.
tyDi visited Canberrans recently in February and brought back an equally as exciting show to the heart of the city. This time around, tyDi was supported by Eldred followed by Pred with a powerful closing set after the internationally acclaimed DJ by Myon and Shane 54, and finally DJ Peekz.
Launching his new album ‘Shooting Stars’ under the Amada label (one of the best in the world), tyDi never ceases to amaze with his variety of favourites including ‘Vanilla’, ‘Good Dream’ and ‘Find Yourself’ while the youthful crowd ‘waited for the sun’.
The musical mastermind provided the crowd with an explosive set. After stirring them up he then congratulated an over excited audience member who was enjoying himself so much, he took his kit off. ‘Let’s give it up for the naked guy’, tyDi shouted as the keen fan was escorted away by the always friendly security team.
A lighting and laser show definitely worth a mention, beamed from the roof over the ecstatic crowd that attempted to beam themselves over the sectioned off area near the DJ set. In the end, security could contain the crowd but not their excitement.
