Lennox Gardens will shimmer to life under the light of 2,000 candles as Japanese and Australian cultures unite at the 13th annual Canberra Nara Candle Festival.

Delicious Japanese cuisine will be available – of course! – along with traditional activities such as ikebana and drumming workshops, calligraphy, origami, lantern making, kite flying, martial arts and sumo wrestling demonstrations, which can be enjoyed by the whole family.

The Canberra Nara Candle Festival will be held in the Canberra Nara Peace Park in Lennox Gardens (behind Hyatt Hotel Canberra) from 4.30pm to 9:00pm on Saturday 24 October.

Parking is available in the Parliamentary zone, with a free shuttle bus to Canberra Nara Peace Park. Public parking is not available in the Hyatt Hotel car park.

This year’s festival celebrates the 22nd anniversary of Canberra’s sister city relationship with Nara, Japan.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic cultural experience and chance to embark on a fun family outing!
