Pnau are a pretty big deal now-a-days. They have four brilliant albums with a bunch of singles and a heap of international credit under their very heavy belts.
These stage-dominating Sydney boys are not only making awesome tunes, they kick back with Elton John when he is not gallivanting around New York and work hard in the studio. In November, the London-based duo will return to play in their home country, including an appearance at Foreshore on November 26.
I spoke with one half of Pnau, Peter Mayes, who is pumped about coming along to the festival. He’s visited the Capital lots of times, describing it as, “always fun.” Despite the constant bad rap, I actually believed him.
Pnau, consisting of Peter and Nick Littlemore, is quite well known for the duo’s onstage antics. For those who have seen Pnau live, you would know this very well. When I spoke about their on stage performances Peter insisted that there will be, “no dancing fruits,” at Foreshore however.
“You never know, I wouldn’t write it off,” he continued.
Although Peter advised me that he stopped getting older at 22, he confesses that, “we do not really keep up with what is happening in the clubs,” and that punters at Foreshore should expect a five piece band in their performance.
“I love playing in Australia, it’s always great to come home,” he says.
