The alternative rock band British India, hailing from Melbourne were met by an eagerly awaiting crowd in Canberra’s Greenroom in Woden on Friday night.
The band drew in an eclectic crowd comprised of both loyal and new followers.
The boys were opened by local rock band Clay Pidgeons and the excitement of the crowd was palpable. It was evident that the audience was upset to see their set end, yet eager for British India to begin.
Excitement only heightened when British India graced the stage opening with one of their older hit songs This Dance is Loaded.
British India wasted no time kicking into their long awaiting set list, playing equally as good if not better live. Their passion, potential and effortless talent was evident and they quickly had members of the audience dancing and swaying. They brought life, energy and talent to the new temporary location of the Greenroom.
The band rocked some of their new songs as well as their more notable hits including I said I’m Sorry, March Into the Ocean and Run the Red Light. The crowd was particularly receptive to their most recognisable song Tie Up My Hands. British India also played some new songs that alluded to a new album in the works.
After the engaging and energy-filled set, they made the audience and fans even more excited for an anticipated upcoming new album. Audience members left filling fulfilled and hopefully helped cement the Woden Tradies as a permanent venue for The Greenroom.
