The on the rise Kerser has been doing an excellent if not controversial job at making a name for himself on the Hip Hop scene. Following the successful No Rest for the Sickest tour, the Campbelltown emcee has raced back to the regional circuit with brother and co-collaborator Rates to promote single We Here Now.

Landing on the music scene in recent years Kerser became a Youtube hit when he famously took aim at Australian heavy-weight 360 in a series of lyrical rap battles, and leaping onto the Zierholz stage both he and Rates took that same mentality when unloading an arsenal of songs.

Not taking the safe option, both artists performed lyrically heavier set songs from the get go and were met by a receptive crowd. I had the feeling that this was not a concert you happened to buy a ticket to on a whim to unwind.

The bass heavy set gave the audience a work out as Kerser and Rates fiercely urged as much bouncing and physicality from the crowd as possible.
Performing lesser known songs from earlier years varied the pace but both artists really found their groove with favourites We Here Now and Thank you.

However, a surprising highlight of the night went to the support acts. Locals Pr!nz, State of Mind, and Semantix, were given twenty minute bouts that drew more than just the courtesy claps from the crowd.

Receiving genuine praise from Kerser after the show proved that quality Hip Hop acts are not just the ones travelling from interstate.
