Lost for things to do this weekend? Here’s a couple of options to get you out and about
The Lake
Nothing gets the weekend blood pumping a lap around the lake on a Saturday morning. Be it a walk, run, ride or, um… rollerblade, you always have company on the footpaths between the bridges.
To keep weekend warrior fuelled, The Deck at regatta point is offering a slice of banana bread or a fruit salad with a coffee for $8. With a great view over the lake and the sweating toilers below, there’s no reason not to stick ten bucks in your sock and stop off for a well-earned breather.
The Raiders
The Raiders are playing this weekend, taking on the Bulldogs at Canberra Stadium. Much like horse-racing, the lottery or quantum physics the result is rarely predictable. If you’re a long suffering fan, or one who embraces masochism regardless of its form, head out to Bruce on what looks to be a sunny Saturday afternoon for the 3.00pm kick-off.
The Kremlin
Nothing starts a Saturday night better than a large glass of mixed spirits and some juice. It’s cocktail hour from 6.00pm every Saturday, and Kremlin has been doing it better than most for years. Throw on some heels find a cosy corner and set up your Saturday. Perfect!
