This Sunday, Canberrans will convene for the Tastes of Two Regions event at QT Canberra. For only $30.00, guests will be treated to the very best of the Rutherglen and King Valley regions. With over 100 wines available to taste, and some of the very best produce from Northern Victoria to try, it will be ‘foodie heaven’ in the heart of the ACT.
But Tastes of Two Regions is much more than just indulging in the flavours and styles of the famous region. There is plenty to be learned through a number of seminars hosted by the passionate producers of Rutherglen and King Valley. Highlights include:
Roving Prosecco Tasting
Patrick from Dal Zotto Wines will take visitors on a roving tasting around the King Valley with some of the very best samples from Dal Zotto, Brown Brothers, Chrismont, Pizzini, and Sam Miranda. Prosecco?
Yes, please!
Wine & Chocolate Matching
What are the two of the most delicious things in life? How about wine and chocolate? Renaissance Chocolates have taken on the tough job of matching the fabulous wines of Cofield’s and Pizzini’s with a selection of their fine chocolates.
This alone is worth the price of entry!
Nonna’s Italian Cheese Arancini
Let’s not forget the joys of beautiful cheese. Join Bianca Politini from Politini Wines and Ceridwen Brown from Milawa Cheese whilst they demonstrate Nonna Josie’s traditional Sicilian arancini recipe filled with Milawa Cheese, cheese, all matched to Politini’s Grecanico.
So much ‘yum’ that our mouths are already watering just at the thought…
Rutherglen Durif & Muscat
Rutherglen has history on its side when it comes to Durif. It is not a variety that gives up its secrets easily but with more than 100 years of accumulated knowledge you’ll get an insight into this variety. With this comes a tasting of Muscat… The multitude of aromas, the incredible depth of flavour on the palate, and a finish that seems to linger for an age…
Sophisticated and classic, these are essential to any serious wine collection …
Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? The good news is this is just the start of what will be an incredible day at QT Hotel. Be sure to secure your tickets for Tastes of Two Regions now, because based on last year’s success, this will be another sell-out.
Tickets are only $30.00 and are available by clicking here. Tickets on the door (should there be any left) are $35.00, but you don’t want to miss out on one of the best gourmet experiences of the year.
