Things aren’t always what they seem after dark at the National Museum!
The National Museum of Australia invites you to experience a night of mystery, art, DJs, bars, talks and the unexpected, in the latest instalment of their blockbuster Night at the Museum series on Friday, 31 July.
Start your evening by surfing rough seas to locate missing persons; get creative and make your own mystery disguise; or share your deepest secrets, which will stay locked in the museum … Or will they?
Learn more about some of the mysterious objects and stories featured in the Museum’s collection, such as the stories of Granny Locke and the mystery of the Min Min lights, or the Tichborne claimant and the controversy over his identity. Be intrigued by the uncertainty around explorer Ludwig Leichhardt’s disappearance.
Throughout the evening, the sounds of T-String will ensure the mood is just right.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening.
Friday 31 July, 6:00 – 9:30pm
