After commemorating ANZAC Day at your local service, tradition states that the next stop is for a lively game of Two-up.

To get involved at some of Canberra’s finest rings, we have put together a list of the best two-up competitions around town


Canberra Labor Club
Chandler Street, Belconnen
Commencing 12:00pm

At at the Labor Club, Two-up is on while AFL and NRL matches aired on all big screens. and the Selections Bistro open from midday. All donations collected on the day will go to Legacy.


The Tradies
2 Badham St, Dickson
Commencing 12:00pm

The Dickson Tradies will host a round of Two-up in the marquee from 12:00pm. The club will be offering a free bus service from the dawn service for members with a Free Diggers breakfast available upon arrival.


Siren Bar & Restaurant

30 Anthony Rolfe Avenue, Gungahlin
Commencing 12:00pm

Gungahlin’s local, Siren Bar & Restaurant, hosts a Gunfire breakfast before the Two-Up competition starts at noon. Make sure to book early because spots are sure to sell out fast.


The Canberra Irish Club
6 Parkinson Street, Weston Creek
Commencing 12:00pm

With a Dawn Service shuttle bus, breakfast, some of your favourite brews on tap and a lively game of Two-Up, The Canberra Irish Club aims to present one of its biggest ANZAC Day celebrations yet.


The Duxton
Macpherson Street, O’Connor
Commencing 11:00am

Open from 6:00am, The Duxton has a full day of events planned – including Two-Up. Rounds will commence at 11:00am with the mighty Bruce Thornton, one of the pubs original owners, playing Spinner.


Olims Bar & Bistro

Limestone Avenue, Ainslie
Commencing 12:00pm

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Australian War Memorial, Olims Bar is open early for breakfast, barista-made coffee, bacon & egg rolls and a game of Two-Up from midday.


Eastlake Football Club
3 Oxley Street, Canberra
Commencing 1:00pm

Located in Griffith, Eastlakes is a Southside go-to for a great game of Two-Up. Commemorate with rounds starting at 1:00pm. As a local AFL club, there’s always a huge crowd for the Collingwood-Essendon bash as well.


Gungahlin Lakes Club
110 Gundaroo Drive, Nicholls
Commencing 2:00pm

Drop in for a game of Two-Up at The Gungahlin Lakes Club from 2:00pm. Starting a little later than most, the Lakes give you time to have a bite to eat before kicking on for the Two-Up competition.


Ainslie Football Club

52 Wakefield Avenue, Ainslie
Commencing 2:00pm

Be a part of the ANZAC Day celebrations at the Ainslie Football Club. Grab some mates, a schooner of beer and settle in for an afternoon of Two-Up. Ainslie Football is another great place to watch the AFL.
