Outside of the leafy suburbs of Canberra, there are few places to kick back and relax with a cold beer or a nice glass of wine. Vice Bar – located in Canberra’s northern industrial suburb of Mitchell – puts a new spin on post-industrial chic with a new sports bar that provides the perfect way to escape from the busy world outside.
Created by Sydney designer, Paul Kelly (Tongue & Groove, Marble & Grain and Sydney’s Cargo Bar Pizza Lounge), the owners have invested in a truly premium experience. Upon entry, the interior of Vice Bar immediately suggests a sense of calm. Heavy wooden tables and soft carpet fills the room, and the dark walls and ceiling further enhance the luxurious feel. Almost immediately, you can feel yourself relax.
Grab a drink from the magnificent wooden bar, and settle in at one of the tables with a bunch of friends as three large TVs play the latest matches from across Australia and around the world.
There are big plans in the near future for a full corporate lunch offering – which means you can write off the rest of the afternoon to simply relax and enjoy the delights on offer. With their elegant and charming hostesses, it’s not difficult to let the hours slip by.
Vice is the ideal place for functions. Be it a birthday, a ‘bucks’ or a business lunch, the team are ready to put together an unforgettable experience. The bar offers a premium range of whiskies, bourbons and cognacs that compliment the luxurious feeling and personal service.
Open from 12.00pm Tuesday to Saturday, Vice Bar is the perfect place to start your evening and let your imagination run wild. Who knows where night might lead?
