The Greek Film Festival returns to Canberra with a five compelling films at Palace Electric Cinema. Each film will be contextualised by award-winning local filmmaker, Sotiris Dounoukos.

Opening night on 4 December offers a traditional Greek experience like no other, featuring the award-winning new film Little England, accompanied by traditional Greek music played by a fifteen-piece Mandolin Orchestra and exceptional Greek food and wine. Yum!

Other highlights include, the screening of Sotiris Dounoukos’s most recent short film, A Single Body on 5 December, which recently won the Toronto Film Festival’s Best Short Film. This is followed by Miss Violence – award winning film from the Venice Film Festival 2013. Closing night of the Greek Film Festival will take place in the A. Baker Courtyard from 7:15pm, 7 December. Viewers are invited to grab a deck chair to enjoy a screening of the original 1979 Mad Max in a relaxed setting with restaurant service by A. Baker and lots of entertainment.
