Starring Cate Blanchett in a stunning performance, the film has been described as Allen’s best in decades, with an exquisite blend of comedy and tragedy. Set in New York, Blue jasmine tells the story of a New York Socialite whose life has fallen to pieces. Following the departure of her wealthy husband, Jasmine moves in with her sister in an attempt to move on with her life.
With typical love for New York, Allen compiles a set of co-stars familiar with the great city – including Alec Baldwin and Louis C.K. who combine to portray a ‘powerful drama that is wise, tender and funny in equal measure.’
