Bands in the Beer Garden – Sugar and Cream at Hopscotch – Fri 22 Nov
Friday nights are going to look a little different at Hoppy from now on. Think 3+ piece bands, out in the beer garden from 7pm, while the sun goes down with some $5 Two Sons and a whole lot a good vibes. To enjoy these longer days and get into summer mode, they have launched Bands in the Beer Garden. Up next, the soulful sounds of Sugar and Cream music. Schooners of Two Suns will be $5 (all day) and games of pool will be free before 6pm. Lock this one in with the gang and book your table early!
Straightline Paddle Board Giveaway + Demo – Sat 23 Nov
It’s nearly Summer time and Walt & Burley has the perfect way for you to make the most of the sunny days on Lake Burley Griffin! On Saturday 23 November, they are giving away a FREE paddle board thanks to Straight Line Ski and Scuba. Join the locals at Walt & Burley for a fun-filled day with demos in the canal from 11am – 2pm. Free to try for the general public, simply sign the waiver to join! At 2.30pm, they will be revealing the winner of our competition. Winner must be in the pub to claim. You still have time to enter! Purchase any Barnsworth, Chalk Hill or Anchorage wine at Walt & Burley and get an entry into the draw to WIN your very own paddle board. Harvest Garden Stall – Sat 23 Nov
Love home-made jams? Stock up on jams, pesto, pickles and chutneys all made from produce harvested from the gardens and forests at the National Arboretum Canberra. Also available will be fresh produce, lavender bags, dried edible flower petals and more. Brought to you by the volunteers from the Harvest Group, Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra. From 10am – 2pm.

Have a BLAST at the free ‘Big Science Fun Shows’ hosted by Fizzics Education; see flying toilet paper, vortex fog rings, liquid nitrogen experiments and more! Show times are 10 am and 1pm (shows run for 45 minutes) located outside Big W at Marketplace Gungahlin.
