Well, it’s been rumoured for years and under construction for months, but the good news is that within weeks, Canberra will finally see IKEA throw open its doors adjacent to Canberra Airport.
With a catalogue featuring the Malm dresser and Billy bookcase, plenty of classic IKEA designs have graced Canberra homes since Ikea came to Sydney almost 15 years ago. Now, with the Canberra store opening its doors on Monday 16 November there will be no need to drag the trailer up and down the Hume Highway.
Hooray!
We revealed last week that to celebrate the launch, IKEA are hosting a treasure hunt across Canberra – known as the IKEA Hidden Catalogue. If you know your way around Canberra, then you have a chance to win one of the $50 IKEA gift cards up for grabs every week, or the grand prize of a $1,000 IKEA gift card.
So, how does it work?
You can join in the fun by following the weekly clues on ikea.com.au/hiddencatalogue from October 11 until October 31. Once each clue is issued, it will be up to you to solve the puzzle, head to the hidden treasure and capture your own creative IKEA Hidden Catalogue photo.
Got it? Perfect! Now upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #IKEAHidden to win!
Here is the first clue:
Combine a type of deer and a small green vegetable to find this Braddon restaurant. Once inside hunt down the bamboo.
Good luck!
