Summer’s here, people! With the arrival of December, we’re officially in the most fun month of the year. What better way to welcome the warmth of the festive season than with a bit of time down by the water with friends and a glass of bubbly at Sunday by the Lake?
For the last 16 years, Snowy Hydro SouthCare has provided a valuable service by rescuing sick and injured patients from all across the region and delivering them to the nearest care facility that can tend to their condition. It might be flying an injured skier from the top of Perisher to Canberra, or delivering a fragile patient up to Sydney for lifesaving medical care.
Unfortunately, this sort of service does not come cheaply. That’s why the team at Snowy Hydro Southcare work so hard to raise funds all across the year. Last year, they introduced Sunday by the Lake as a less formal, but fun, follow-on from the wildly successful Gala Ball – to be held at the same location on Saturday night. The Gala Ball has been a major success for years and, with such an amazing set-up at Lennox Gardens, it makes sense to use the space again the next day to recover and enjoy a day in the sun.
This year, Sunday by the Lake is back, and Moet Hennessy is coming to the party with a glass of champagne included with every ticket. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the sumptuous buffet from the Hyatt, which is moving from it’s usual place in the heritage-listed building to celebrate summer with Snowy Hydro SouthCare down at Sunday by the Lake. There will be plenty of seafood, spits, BBQ station, full salad bar along with a dessert station including a Mövenpick ice cream cart – perfect for those who might be backing up from a festive Saturday night!
The Snowy Hydro SouthCare ‘Bocce by the Lake’ Cup championship is back, and there will be plenty of music and games to keep you entertained all afternoon. Otherwise, you can just kick back and look upon our beautiful lake and raise a glass to the wonderful work of the wonderful team at Snowy Hydro SouthCare.
