The 2016 Canberra Challenger event was the first of its kind in the ACT, attracting 54 players from 20 countries and over 3,000 spectators. The event attracted a quality international field with ten top 100 players featuring. 32 players went on to compete at the 2016 Australian Open in singles, doubles, and junior events.
