THE FAMOUS SPIEGELTENT is coming this February and March filled to the brim with a collection of the most exceptional Australian and International artists on this planet. For the first time The Famous Spiegeltent will take up residence in Civic Square – just outside Canberra Theatre Centre – before heading to UK. The highlight of the season is the global phenomenon, LA CLIQUE – a 100% satisfying rush of pure, adult carnival magic.
La Clique is an inspired melange of cabaret, new burlesque, circus and contemporary vaudeville. It is sexy, funny, dangerous and guarantees to blow you away with imagination and skill you will not have seen before and may never see again. Canberrans will be happy to see performances of local favourites, Mikelangelo and The Black Sea Gentlemen. With their Balkan-inspired tunes and energetic performances, the Famous Spiegeltent is the perfect setting for a band that evokes imagery of travelling musicians in mysterious foreign lands.
The whole precinct surrounding the Tent will become a place of wonder and delight, with plenty of entertainment outside the tent as well as in. Those turning up early will get to enjoy pop-up performances and a carnival atmosphere filled with energy and surprise.
The season runs from Friday 19 February to Monday 14 March, and pre-sale tickets are available next Monday 9 November.
