Night Market Canberra is back again this Friday, December 9, helping us all get into the festive spirit, with more stalls, more food, more entertainment and brighter lights!
Celebrating its second birthday this December, the market is once again hosted at the beautiful Hotel Realm precinct in Barton, with market stalls, food, music and entertainment for kids too!
Shoppers will be able to get in early for their Christmas purchases, with a myriad of talented and unique local and interstate stallholders. There are over 40 stalls to peruse, including fashion, accessories, homewares, lifestyle products, food and jewellery.
All designers are handpicked by the organisers, who strive to provide visitors with a unique experience by focusing on largely high-end products with a design appeal in a unique urban environment. Some local businesses at the markets include Tea Garden, Song of Oya Candles, My Little Succulent and Ink & Weave!
But if shopping isn’t your thing or you’re already super organised for Christmas pressies then there will be plenty of music and entertainment throughout the evening to relax and unwind to, including live music from local artists Sorrel Nation and Ryan David, as well as a visit from a Christmas Toy Soldier for the kids.
There will be a licensed bar and seating at Maple+Clove, the perfect vantage point for those looking to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere away from the crowd, with a cocktail or cold beer to quench your thirst!
And if you’re hungry, grab a bite to eat from one of the food vendors including Berlin Bangers, The One Food Van, Mamas Jerk Chicken and Cracking Corn. There will also be some delicious treats for those with a sweet tooth from Choco Bab, Dessert Quarters by Mini or Tart, Breton et Co, fairy floss, snow cones and more!
The market will be open from 4pm until 9pm, so hop down in the afternoon to grab the best handcrafted goodies and avoid the queues! This is a family-friendly free event with ample parking at Little National Hotel and on Sydney Ave, Macquarie St and NSW Crescent.
