A Canberra hotel is making the ultimate declaration of love on Valentine’s Day with Australia’s most expensive dessert – which comes served with a side of pillow-talk.
QT Canberra’s Capital Bar & Grill has created the Blind Date, a caramel and sesame mousse cake on a hazelnut and date sponge, coated in gold and dark chocolate ganache and served with a single red rose, rose petals, pistachio and caramel truffles.
But that’s not all – diners have the option to order Loved Up Luxury, a romantic deal where guests are presented with the bespoke sweet treat, and a room key, and will automatically be checked in for the night, with a bottle of champagne waiting on ice for the loved-up couple!
The decadent deal costs $498 and can be ordered directly from the menu between Monday 12 to Sunday 18 February.
With a concept designed by QT Hotel’s Creative Food Director Robert Marchetti, Capitol Bar & Grill features a predominately Italian theme, with a focus on quality steaks and a wood fired grill. This unique restaurant serves a carefully curated selection of fine wine and food offerings, perfect for a special dinner for two. For more information on QT Hotels & Resorts click here.
