Thousands of Canberrans have made their voices heard, by going to the OutInCanberra People’s Choice Awards Voting Page and telling us what they love about this city.
It’s been fascinating to watch the votes come through and seeing the emerging picture of what we like doing in our spare time. Voting is done across five different categories that capture all the things we do at night, on weekends or just when we need a snack or coffee:
• Favourite Entertainment,
• Favourite Café
• Favourite Dining
• Favourite Event & Attractions, and
• Favourite Nightlife
This year, the People’s Choice Awards wants to know even more about your selections. We’ve included Outrate, the feedback tool developed by Visit Canberra to help Canberra’s tourism and hospitality businesses get even better at what they do.
By including extra feedback with each of your votes, the information goes directly to the business. What does this mean? Well, rather than be a loud (and sometimes ugly) platform such as some other review sites, Outrate delivers the news – good or bad – to the venue directly. It means your comments go directly to those who need to hear it… and we all win!
If you haven’t had your vote, you’d better hurry! Voting closes on Sunday night, 23 November – so you’ve only got eleven days to shout out to your favourite Canberra outlets. We’ll be announcing all the winners at this year’s Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards, on Thursday 3 December. So, be sure to vote and keep an eye on OutInCanberra to see if your favourites took the prize in 2014!
