‘Nosh’ means to eat enthusiastically. Originally born in Melbourne in 2017, Nosh made its way to fill the bellies of Canberrans in 2018. Their aim is to share delicious, fresh produce in the most natural form possible to create healthy and nourishing dishes. And now, they do dinner! We were lucky enough to attend the launch of their new dinner menu, which is filled with amazing flavours.
The mission of Nosh is to inspire the community to prioritise wellness by connecting them to real food. They’re committed to creating transparency around what’s in your food and where it came from.
Nosh creates dishes with a Japanese-meets-Hawaiian twist such as poke bowls, nori tacos, share plates and a great range of beer and cocktails. The most popular bowls on the dinner menu heroes ingredients like marbled Australian wagyu beef, pan seared duck, truffle Japanese mushrooms, agesdashi tofu and miso salmon.
We also tried their amazing nori tacos! These are crispy seaweed tempura shells with mouthwatering Japanese inspired fillings. We’re talking tiger prawns, shoyu tuna, teriyaki karaage chicken and truffle mayo salmon. Everything is made from scratch by the passionate chefs on site, and you can watch them work their magic in the open-faced kitchen.
They have a range of yummy mocktails, or ‘Nosh Elixers’ which you can choose to combine with a paired spirit to ‘make it dirty’. We recommend the lychee breezer with vodka, the cool coco with malibu and the yuzu sour with elderflour and gin.
Located on the ground floor of the Canberra Centre, Nosh thrives on their passion for good food, good vibes and good company. Perfect for a quick healthy lunch on the go, or a dine-in experience with friendly staff that will be sure to look after you. So go on, have a nosh!
They are now open 11am-9pm weekdays and 11am-8pm weekends.
