If you would like to keep things a little more family oriented, then New Year’s Eve in the City presented by the ACT Government and sponsored by PRIME 7, Mix 106.3 and FM 104.7 is for you. There are two venues – Civic Square, London Circuit and Garema Place, Canberra City with festivities kicking off at 7pm.
Civic Square will be hosting a family-friendly music line-up while Garema Place brings in the New Year with bass beats and high-energy dancing. Enjoy the early fireworks with the kids at 9pm.
Civic will then raise the roof with Bass in the Place dance in Garema Place from 9pm. One of Canberra’s most state-of-the-art pyrotechnic shows will complete the night, with fireworks at midnight set to a soundtrack heralding in the New Year.
