Bodega de Pintxos is Canberra’s newest Spanish pintxo (a snack typically eaten at a bar usually with a toothpick through it) restaurant with a modern twist, located on Kennedy street in Kingston and has opened today!
The restaurant itself is rustic and charming and makes you feel like you are sitting at a bar somewhere in Northern Spain, especially with the Spanish staff buzzing around you.
Bodega de Pintxos serves authentic Spanish cuisine, but with a modern touch. Enjoy the squid ink paella, Arroz Caldoso (soupy rice) and Azuelas (cooked in a terracotta pit in a wood-fired oven).
Bodega de Pintxos welcomes Executive Chef Paolo Milanesi and bar tender straight from Ibiza, Vincente. Paolo is from the north of Italy and grew up in a family of restaurants and was always celebrating food. Paolo later lived in Spain for eight years where he was taught how to cook Spanish dishes from legends such as Ferran Andria and Sergi Arola.
Bar-tender Vincente has literally just come from the famous Pacha club in Ibiza. He has been a bar-tender for 10 years, working for two of those years in Ibiza. Vincente specializes in cocktails such as mojitos, margaritas and caprioskas.
Bodega de Pintxos will soon be hosting flamenco and Sangria nights and this new years, attend a big Spanish cotillion (party) at the restaurant and bar.
