Kingsleys Crab & Steak House
“The best steak that I can get in Canberra is out at Kingsleys Crab and Steak House in Civic. It’s the only place that I’ve been able to get a really rare steak without it being overcooked and the fact that you can choose how big your steak is and have someone suggest a wine to go with it is perfect. I love a juicy steak but many places will not serve it rare, just medium rare as a basic but if I want a steak, I have to go back to Kingsleys because nowhere else compares.”

You’re super hungry and your partner is only peckish? Steaks range from 250g to 1kg.

You need an accompaniment to the meat on your plate? The Charcoal have the best jacket potatoes with your choice of toppings.

Hog’s Breath Cafe
“The best steak I have ever eaten was at Hog’s Breath Café in Civic. The beef was of such good quality and the steak itself was amazingly tender. You can choose from heaps of different steaks, but in my opinion, the best one on the menu is the Hickory Smoked Prime Rib. It has a smoked BBQ sauce on it- delicious!”

Best steaks I have had in canberra has to be at the new restaurant/bar in Manuka named public.
Cooked to perfection every time, beautiful sauces (bearnaise is the best ive had) and comes with hand cut chips. Great selection of cuts to choose from, 600g on the bone is the best! This place is awesome because you know what to expect and get your steak cooked to perfection every time.
