Winter is the perfect season for men to create a fashionable and functional wardrobe. They shouldn’t be afraid to wear a funky scarf with a tailored coat or a pair of gloves with a sweater.

There is a very big difference between throwing on multiple layers of clothing and layering a look with style. You can still achieve the layered look without over-thinking it or making it look like you’ve tried too hard.

Here are my three outfit suggestions for Men this winter.

Casual

I am loving fitted cardigans and sweaters at the moment. The last few weeks haven’t been too cold especially during the day so a sweater or cardigan over a collared polo or tee are perfect paired with a nice pair of tailored jeans or the ever-lasting fashion piece for men, chino’s. If you are looking for a wardrobe update be daring with your pant colour choice and go for a light mustard, acid wash denim, faded black or burgundy.

Night Out

On a night out you should dress to impress, no jumpers or sports pants please!!! yd. is literally my favourite store for men! I love the variety, so many different types of collared shirts and different cuts for jeans. Since it is getting quite cold a nice leather jacket or blazer looks great over a pair of dark jeans and nice shoes.

Work

A corporate work look for men is a tailored suit, sometimes sans the jacket depending on your profession paired with a fitted button up shirt. Be creative with your shirt and opt for styles with pin stripes, squares or a vibrant on trend colour. On the days you feel like wearing lots of white, grey and/or black add a statement tie for a pop of colour and personality. Zara man has loads of really on trend pieces suitable for the work place at the moment, now that we are lucky enough to have our own store in Canberra I think you guys should definitely check it out.
