Dining at Bicicletta is a highlight of the exciting NewActon dining precinct. With a strong focus on Italian flavours and local produce, it’s been a firm favourite among Canberra foodies for years.
This philosophy will be on display next Friday 29 May as Bicicletta hosts their Great Canberra Wine Dinner. Hosted by local winemaker and food writer, Bryan Martin, you’ll be introduced to the award-winning wine critic, Nick Stock, and both are there to share their expansive wine knowledge with their guests.
With an international reputation for his writing and speaking, Nick has travelled the world to discover the flavours and styles of wines on almost every continent. This time he’s narrowing his focus on the Canberra wine region to examine a broad range from our fabulous cool-climate industry.
In the last decade the Canberra wine region has been one of Australia’s hot spots for cutting edge cool-climate wines in the last decade and it has steadily attracted a pool of talented winemakers to the cause. Today, many of the pioneering wineries have a new generation driving them to new heights as well as the added bonus of maturing vineyards and a deeper understanding of the character of the place.
Through a delicious four-course meal, you’ll be treated to some of the very best dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Rajib Ahmed. With the matching wines, you’re in for a meal filled with fabulous flavours and fascinating insights about the wines of Canberra and beyond.
