It may sound a little dangerous but a new event called Fashion in the Jungle might be just the adventure you need.
Hosted by Canberra Women in Business at the awesome Kokomo’s, the event is your chance to join the circular economy, learn about “fast fashion” and how you can use your personal economic clout to change the fashion industry, unsustainable products, and unethical practices for the better.
Fashion in the Jungle will feature panellists Vicky Kidd-Gallichan from Rockstars and Royalty, Kelli Donovan from Pure Pod and eco stylist Nina Gbor.
Innovators in their fields, the panellists will provide an inside look into the fashion industry, how it impacts women in developing countries, natural resources and waste. The panel will moderate a discussion about how women can make an impact individually and collectively.
Anyone wearing a preloved, upcycled, recycled, ethically or sustainable produced outfit will be featured in the fashion parade, and will be photographed by the amazing Brunela Fenalte.
Enjoy the delights of Kokomo’s and be part of our sustainable and ethical fashion parade in the Jungle!
The event includes a glass of welcome champers, a selection of canapés and a chance to network at a fashion parade with a purpose.
Fashion in the Jungle is on Monday 23 April, 5.30pm to 8.30pm, ticket info here.
