“I didn’t know it at the time, but I met the love of my life in high school, Greg.
It wasn’t until years later when I was contracted to do an audit for the Fire Brigade that I ran into Greg again.. a gorgeous grown-up Greg. Thank goodness I’d stopped teasing my fringe!
There was definitely an unspoken ‘something’ (but the timing was wrong) and over the next 18 months we had 3 chance meetings. Always – wrong timing.
The following year, with Greg still on my mind, I invited him to my birthday. We moved in together 10 weeks later and have never looked back. On Valentine’s Day 2013 I came home to roses and a card. As I read Greg’s beautiful words, I looked up to see him holding our 9 month old son, and with tears in his eyes Greg got down on two knees (too nervous to be on just one) and proposed. Our little boy (with a huge smile on his face) held out a box to me. It contained a beautiful engagement ring that his Daddy had designed.
Of course I said, “YES!!” We are so excited to become Mr and Mrs Gorgeous Grown-up Greg & Susie. It seems ‘Our Story’ began all those years ago.”
