A venue with a story to tell, bringing a bit of nighttime excitement to Parliamentary Triangle. We have found another reason to count down the working week, knock off a little early and treat yourself to a Friday bevvie.
Don’t be fooled, this is not your regular monumental building, The House where powerful decisions were once made is now making a name for its self for letting its hair down and creating unforgettable Friday nights for us locals.
After attending an OPH Friday’s late 2018, it’s now hard to imagine the courtyard being used for anything other than a good time. Working in the City, you end up mastering the bar scene, so while the good weather is lingering switch your Friday drinks to a fine establishment like Hoi Polloi at OPH. Building on the fun they had last year, 2019 will see monthly rotating themes, starting with Latino Heat for all the Friday’s in Feb.
Kicking off Friday 1 February at 4pm ‘til late, the Latino Heat themed party will commence, promising $10 frozen margaritas, $25 Corona buckets and a DJ sending the types of tunes you can’t help moving your feet (or hips) to. At 6pm prepare for a Kokoloco dance takeover – and take over they will! This dance crew knows how to demand attention with their salsa. You’ll envy their energy, choreography and fitness and you may even try and move your hips like them after a few margaritas.
Don’t miss Happy Hour from 4:30pm – 5:30pm offering $5 house beer and wine.
It won’t just be the beats bringing the Latino rhythm though, an exclusive Latino Heat menu will be available comprising of Hispanic inspired foods including, chicken and jalapeno empanada, tacos, nachos and Brazilian aioli dipping sauce for your squid, and a whole lot of salsa.
To put it simply, you will be at one of the most Canberran locations, but you’ll feel miles away.
