Floriade NightFest tickets – now on sale
It’s one of the most popular events during Floriade. The annual moonlit extravaganza, NightFest, will return to Commonwealth Park for five nights from Wednesday 25 September until Sunday 29 September.
Whether you would prefer to spend your evening wandering through the night markets, taking in the stellar light shows or chilling out with a cocktail while listening to some smooth tunes, Floriade’s ticketed twilight event has something for you.
Need a giggle to go with your tipple? The enchanting evening destination, The Moonlight Lounge, will feature a great line up comedians including Justin Hamilton, Tommy Dean, Felicity Ward, New Zealand’s Cal Wilson and Matt Okine (recently named Best Newcomer at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival).
There is also a new centre for spectacular entertainment. The Electric Theatre will wow audiences with thrilling circus performances, stunning light shows and an awesome array of live musical acts.
The Canberra Centre will hit the stage in The Inspiration Hub with glamorous runway
shows incorporating innovative technologies, live music and cutting-edge fashions. For the foodies, Gourmet Garden is guaranteed to get mouths watering with a range of sweet treat-themed demonstrations.
Roving entertainers such as The Cloudmen, a serene act inspired by the popular Belgian surrealist artist, Rene Magritte, will leave visitors in awe, while The Space Ballerinas will tower over you as they twirl around the park in their pretty tutus.
