Monsieur Lazhar, directed by acclaimed French-Canadian director, Philippe Falardeau will be stopping in Canberra as part of the 2012 Canadian Film Festival and you could win a double pass to see an exclusive screening!
Set in Montreal, Monsieur Lazhar is about a group of school children who have to come to terms with the adult world well before they are ready and the inspirational educator who transforms their lives.
The film has received glowing reviews and has won a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2012 Oscars as well as the Audience Award for best narrative feature at the 2012 Sydney Film Festival.
Monsieur Lazhar is being released on 6th September but you have the chance to win a double pass to an exclusive screening of the film on Monday 20th August at the National Film and Sound Archive. There is a reception at 6pm, followed by the film at 7pm.
