The return of the IMB Bank Sunset Cinema just got even better, with the announcement of a partnership with Menulog for this year’s event.
Menulog is Australia’s largest online delivery platform, partnering with over 9,000 restaurants across the country, including more than 150 within the ACT. As experts in local food trends, their team has selected some of Canberra’s favourite restaurants to service the IMB Bank Sunset Cinema this year.
Canberra clearly has a thing for Thai food, with Thai restaurants accounting for over 30 percent of local orders on Menulog. Indian and Chinese restaurants come in at a close second and third, with classic pizza and burger joints rounding out the top five in the capital.
The carefully selected local restaurants serving up their famous flavours at this year’s Sunset Cinema will be: Two Sisters Laos Thai, Iron Chef Chinese and Malaysian, Turkish Pide & Kebabs, Fish Shack, and Burger Hero.
Getting your favourite dishes served straight to your deckchair or picnic rug is simple:
Step 1: Head to Google Play or the App Store on your smartphone to download the Menulog app
Step 2: Place your order, making sure to add ‘Sunset Cinema’ to the delivery notes (this part is very important!)
Step 3: When you arrive at the cinema, grab a table number from the friendly Menulog staff so they can bring your order straight to you
The list of films for this year’s IMB Bank Sunset Cinema has something for everyone, featuring the latest blockbusters, as well as timeless classics. Screenings for this year’s event include Blade Runner 2049, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Dirty Dancing, Patti Cake$, and more. For the kids Captain Underpants, Paddington 2, and Lego Movie: Ninjago all on the bill.
