Kerrie Hess is Australia’s most famous water colour artist. She graced the stage at Canberra Centre with her modest presence to help launch the Centre’s Autumn/Winter 2015 season.
With Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Vogue as her clients, she is the sweetest woman just like her water colour images. The reveal of Kerrie’s exhibition was a delightful hit! Canberra Centre hosted an exhibition that includes both existing works and five exclusive designs reflecting Canberra style – featuring outfits inspired by our retailers with iconic Canberra backgrounds.
“We discussed from the beginning that the images would really showcase the city and all of the iconic buildings, landmarks and greenery of Canberra while also bringing in a creative fashion element of Autumn/Winter 2015,” Kerrie says.
We loved what she had to say about Canberra fashion. “Canberra style is a mix of European style with some muted colours, worn in more of an urban relaxed way,” she says.
The Kerrie Hess exhibition is open until 1 May 2015. You can find the exhibition between Country Road and Jigsaw on Level 1. You don’t want to miss this one – hope to see you there!
