Local, national and international writers and literary enthusiasts will all come together in the nation’s capital to take part in the inaugural Canberra Writers Festival from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 August.

The driving themes of the festival are Power, Passion and Politics. These will be reflected over the three days, offering Canberrans the opportunity to engage in and attend a number of activities, workshops, panel sessions and keynote addresses, as well as literary lunches and dinners across a number of local venues.
