Canberra is going to the dogs, with a huge event for four-legged friends that includes doggy dancing, pooch pampering and 1000 free showbags.
Dog lovers and fur babies far and wide are invited to join in the fun at this year’s A Pooch Affair.
A truly memorable boutique indoor event being held out at Exhibition Park on Saturday 16 June, it’s expected to draw 3000 attendees and up to 1000 dogs – that’s a free showbag for every doggo!
The Doggie Mall is back, with a fantastic array of local and interstate pet products and services including, grooming, pet care, toys, food and treats, giftware, clothing, bedding, and all types of accessories.
Dress up your doggo in this year’s theme of Denim and Diamonds and win prizes for the best dressed or capture the memory at the complimentary Paws & Pose Photo Booth.
There’s even a complimentary Doggie Day Spa Pamper Station, with a special appearance from international certified Master Groomer Melanie Newman.
Celebrity dogs Maluka and Avalon from The Adventures of Avalon and Maluka, and known for being the dates for Peking Duk at the ARIA Awards, will also be attending, and other entertainment includes, dog obedience, dancing with dogs, nose works, canine disc and high jump.
A new feature this year is the Tough Mutt Challenge, a fun outdoor obstacle course with a difference, designed to test the bond between you and your dog in a fun way.
This year there are eight animal rescue groups attending and in addition to having an information site, rescue groups have been invited to participate in the Adoption Lane where they can display profiles of their dogs that are unable to attend.
All the activities are free to enter and there is a complimentary showbag plus lucky door prizes too.
