Last weekend Floriade opened its doors to the public for yet another year of impressive floral displays. However, there is another element of the spring celebration still to come that will illuminate the displays and heighten the magnificence of the event – NightFest.
Running from Wednesday 28 September through to Sunday 2 October, NightFest is set to transport visitors into an illuminated wonderland bursting with outdoor lighting design and production that has been expertly curated and constructed by the team at Mandylights.
As well as a fantastic luminous display, NightFest will also provide a fantastic line-up of comedy, live music and roving entertainment. Headlining the acts will be the internationally renowned comedian Jimeoin, who will hit the stage on 1 and 2 October, along with Becky Lucas, Kate Burch and The Stevenson Experience to keep the laughs coming.
In the live music corner local indie-rock band Duck Duck Ghost will be performing, as well as contrasting fuck bank East Row Rabble, to provide the perfect playlist for a night among the blooms.
If you’re feeling a little peckish, NightFest has got you covered – boasting a bustling night market full of fresh, local produce, brewers, cider and wine makers and much more. As an added bonus, visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the producers to hear about the delicious treats they sample throughout the night.
