Fashfest have announced that the fashion isn’t going to stop at the runway this year. Nope! Because they have launched DAY FIVE on Sunday May 4th from 11am to 3pm at the East Hotel in Kingston.
The tradeshow will give guests of the fantastic event, fashion retailers and even anyone who missed out the opportunity a chance to exclusively shop the runway.
It’s the perfect opportunity to buy your favourite look from the catwalk direct from the designer. Among the twenty-two local fashion designers there will be plenty of talk about the inspiration behind their work, so you can ask as many questions as you like!
Ultimately, DAY FIVE is an important day for boosting local businesses. ‘FASHFEST is a wonderful experience for designers, other creatives and guests,’ says Clint Hutchinson, Co-Founder, ‘but designers also need a platform for connecting to those who want to stock and buy the garments and accessories they make under their labels.’
DAY FIVE is presented by Tegan McAuley, the founder of the Hustle&Scout Twilight Fashion Market, who has worked closely with the FASHFEST team in pulling together the tradeshow so we are sure this event is going to be just as spectacular as her previous projects!
East Hotel’s OX Eatery will be operating a pop-up bar serving nibbles and drinks, including the exclusive DAY FIVE cocktail of gin and lemon mash topped with sparkling and a maraschino cherry for just $10. To create a chilled and fun vibe throughout the afternoon, FASHFEST’s Director of Music, Mr Michael, will be presenting a DJ set.
