On our honeymoon
Not long ago
The truffle bug
Made quite a show
When an Umbrian town
With a truffle affliction
Turned black and white spores
Into quite an addiction.
In a quaint little shop
We tried them each way
Raw and as oils
We could eat them all day!
Our truffle experience
It didn’t end there
It continued all night
In a restaurant we shared
Bruschetta with truffles
And then on some pasta
More truffles then truffles
On Bistecca Florentina
My oh my
And what a delight
To fall in love with truffles
On that cool Italian night.
