It’s the silly season, which means it’s time to focus on Canberra’s most frivolous festive news. We thought the launch of Beirut Bunker Bar’s ‘12 Cocktails of Christmas’ was very fitting!
Launching on Tuesday 3 December, the first three Chrissy inspired cocktails will be revealed for the pre and post Christmas party revellers and of course Canberra’s regular late night cocktail crowd. The festive cocktails are crafted by Bunker Barmen Soumi and Simon using the very best flavours of Christmas. Think ginger, rum, cranberry, mint, cinnamon, chocolate, Christmas candy and more.
The Xmas menu is kicking off with:
- Santa Don’t Be Late – boozy and sweet, this is a twist on a Bourbon Old Fashioned featuring a gingerbread syrup and a sparkling Christmas candy rim served with a cream brandy crisp.
- Choc Mint Martini – dark and decadent, Fiebre Cacao, vodka, coffee liqueur, mint.
- A Holiday Pash – flirty and summery and sweet. Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, passion fruit, calamansi citrus and pineapple smoked with apple and hickory wood chips.
In addition to the special cocktail line up, local street artist Dai Cameron has sprayed a gigantic Rudolph on the venues back wall.
“There is a very special feeling of peace, unity and celebration around this time in Lebanon and we’re working to bring those good vibes to the Bunker,” Owner Chantelle says.
