The search for the Myer Face of Canberra Racing is on again, with entries now open. So do you have what it takes?
2012 Face of Canberra Racing winner Natasha Roberts says the experience she has gained from her position has been amazing.
“I’ve had some fantastic opportunities”, Natasha said.
“I hosted Thoroughbred Park Fashion TV, there was plenty of photo shoots throughout the year, and I even gained television experience, filming commercials for Club sponsors. The experience was invaluable”.
Natasha’s title included speaking at engagements and hosting several functions.
“I have met so many people and it’s been a definite boost to my confidence” says Natasha.
Sales and Marketing Manager Briony Young says “an interest in horse racing is beneficial, but not essential, we’d like someone who is the complete package; sophisticated, well spoken and confident.”
This year the competition includes a preliminary fashion parade to be held at Tongue & Groove Bar in the City on Thursday 16th February 2012 from 7.00pm. Contestants will then parade on Preview Day, Sunday 26 February where the final ten contestants will be announced and the winner announced later that day.
This is the only model search of its kind in Canberra and each year the entrants increase due to the popularity of the competition.
The first engagement for the new winner will be at this years’ Kamberra Wine Company Black Opal Stakes on Sunday 11th March 2012.
