The Fireside Festival presented by Poacher’s Way is back again this year for the month of August and this year, you have the chance to win a dinner package for two!
A collection of 21 venues in the Canberra region including wineries, restaurants and cafes, galleries, B&Bs, a day spa and a horse riding venue is taking part in the Fireside Festival this year!
Fireside Festival 2012 will be showcasing local and seasonal produce and the best of the region’s wines, as well as exciting performances, events and exhibitions.
With the Canberra region’s truffle season upon us, truffles will be the star of the show on the menu – particularly as Fireside is teaming up with the inaugural Fireside Truffle weekend on 27th-29th July.
For those who love exquisite dining experiences, there will be lots of degustation dinners on offer, including the Black Diamond Degustation Dinner at Lambert Vineyards and the Truffle Dinner at Podfood; with other signature events including the Annual Duck & Pinot Dinner at Grazing, the Vintage Wellington menu at Flint in the Vines and the 100 Mile Dinner at Poachers Pantry.
Enjoy a fine drop at the special tasting sessions on offer, including the Exotic Whites Tasting at Tallagandra Hill as well as opportunities to craft your own style of wine at Lerida Estate’s Wine Master Classes.
Treat your ears with the many local musicians creating the perfect backdrop for that lazy winter afternoon or if art is more your thing, you also have the opportunity to meet some internationally acclaimed artists. Take a horse ride with Burnless Excursions on Horseback or if you want to just relax, revive the body with one of the Geranium Day Spa’s hot stone massages.
This year, Poachers Pantry is giving someone the chance to win 2 tickets for a 100 Mile Dinner on any Friday night in August. Experience the taste of winter and the region with a three-course menu which celebrates local produce, using ingredient from within a 100 mile radius of Poachers Pantry. The dinner is valued at $160.
To enter, tell us in 25 words or less what you would like to do most at this year’s Fireside Festival. The competition closes on Wednesday 1st August at 5pm. Only winners will be notified.
