Our name is SAFIA if you haven’t heard of us before we are Canberra’s newest thing in live electronic music. After starting the project in June of this year we have had our tunes played on Triple J and Triple J unearthed radio, supported the likes of Elizabeth Rose and The Aston Shuffle, received raving reviews from Triple J presenters Dave Ruby Howe and Nina Las Vegas and even had world champion surfer Kelly Slater post our music on his Facebook page to half a million fans. To add to this we just recently won ourselves a spot at this years Foreshore summer music festival thanks to Kicks Sound Search competition supported by OutInCanberra, Raw FM and Academy Nightclub.
