Commit No Nuisance is an art battle that will be on display at LA DE DA in Belconnen on Saturday 22nd December at 8pm.
Each edition, a new group of artist’s battle on a 2.4m square surface with a blank canvas and improvise as they go. There are two teams of three and they battle for 90 minutes. The battle victor is decided by the public each time a drink is purchased and a voting token is provided and then placed in a container at the foot of either team.
Some of the artists that have participated in this event so far have been JRB, Houl, Abyss, Art by Walrus, Jess Mess, graphic designers Just Misha & Juliette Dudley and Bonnie McArthur. Party tunes are also provided by Party By Jake, and local MCs perform at the beginning of each battle. The event is held every six weeks.
This event series in a first for Canberra and brings exciting local artists together to create spontaneous, collaborative and unexpected art.
