3. Brumbies v Bulls at GIO Canberra Stadium
Friday from 7.40pm

Following The Brumbies is like standing on the edge of a bungee platform. Every moment is filled with the thrill of knowing that at any moment, the season could fall off the edge.

This season, it’s been so far so good. After a successful tour of South Africa and subsequent week off, the local side is ready to send the Bulls packing. The Brumbies will need a big win with a bonus point if they’re going to keep in contact with the Waratahs, who lead the Aussie conference. Be sure to head out to the ground and cheer hard!

4. Whisky Live at UC Refectory.
From 1.00pm Saturday and Sunday

Sometimes described as ‘the red wine of spirits’ there is simply no end to the range of flavours and styles of whisky.

It’s liquor that is truly universal – it can be shared with a drunk or High Court judge. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to explore some of the less-known brands from all over the world.

Ricky Stuart’s young guns have proved they are capable of beating anyone this season, and they’ll need to throw everything at Brisbane, who are currently sitting right near the top of the NRL ladder.
