QT Hotel is playing host to a winter treat that will have you looking to clear your wine cellar for the new season’s vintages. From 10.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday 5 July, The Tastes of Two Regions Wine and Food Expo will help you stock up for the long winter ahead.
For over 150 years, generation upon generation of Rutherglen wine producers has worked to produce the very best of the region’s terroir. Following the eventual addition of the new crop of growers from The King Valley region the result is stunning – this north eastern part of Victoria consistently winning awards for a wide variety of wines from prosecco, crisp whites through to rich and dense muscats and topaques.
The fruits of the labours of all these wineries will be on show in Canberra this July, and includes the very best of both regions: All Saints, Anderson, Brown Brothers, Bullers, Campbells, Chambers Rosewood, Chrismont, Cofield, Dal Zotto, Darling Estate, John Gehrig, Jones, Lake Moodemere, Pizzini, Politini, Rutherglen Estates, Sam Miranda, Stanton & Killeen and Symphonia.
More than that, you can fill your pantry for the winter with amazing provedore-style foods. Grab a basket and graze across producers including Glenora Grove, King Valley Fine Foods, Louisa Morris Cakes & Preserves, Milawa Cheese, Renaissance Chocolates and Wicked Virgin Olives.
You can pre-purchase tickets to this festival of flavours for a mere $30.00 ($35 at the door cash only). It’s a great time to join in with friends and enjoy a wonderful day wandering through the wines of Rutherglen and The King Valley and discovering the delicious delights of this famous Victorian region.
