After weeks of intense voting, the OutInCanberra People’s Choice Awards are all done and dusted for another year!
The winners were announced by OutInCanberra Editor Josephine Huynh during a beautiful gala and presentation night for the 2016 Canberra Region Tourism Awards at the National Arboretum Canberra.
“For visitors to Canberra, the tourism experience includes everything from checking-in at a hotel to checking out the local bars and restaurants,” Josephine says.
“Over the last ten years, the OutInCanberra People’s Choice Awards has shone a spotlight on the region’s exceptional hospitality and tourism industries that contribute to this ‘cool capital’ we’re proud to call ours.”
This year we were yet again thrilled to see an eclectic mix of venues and businesses get involved in the awards, and a number of our daily favourites mentioned in the second season of the Signature Series component.
“As we celebrate a decade of People’s Choice we also celebrate the many things that Canberrans are most passionate about in our city – our favourite cafés, restaurants, nightlife and entertainment venues, events and attractions,” she adds.
“As a popular vote, tonight’s winners are the places that we love to go to, and the places we boast about to our friends and family who come to visit.”
