As a Mother myself, I know how busy it can get. Everything takes priority and you’re on the bottom of that list. Despite how easy it is to run out of the door, with your slippers and Pajamas to do the school drop off. Whether you’re off to work or you work all day at home. Here are some tips to make it easier.
I look for outfit inspirations on Pinterest. It’s also a great way to find yourself an individual style that suits your lifestyle and personality. Once you start gathering images, you will then start to see what sort of styles you like. Then you can start to build your wardrobe.
A basic ‘Stay at home Mummy’ Winter Wardrobe.
– A really good fitting pair of jeans. That are right for your body shape.
– White T-shirt
– Tailored jacket
– Leggings
– Denim Jacket
– A really good knit
– Long Cardigan with a tie
– Winter Jacket
– Ankle boots
– Ballet flats
– Converse
You can never go wrong with, jeans and a T teamed with an ankle boot. Add a denim jacket and a scarf and you have a great on trend outfit to drop the kids off at school. You could swap the denim jacket for a tailored jacket and you have a great outfit, for lunch with the ladies. Or leggings a long knit, with a pair of converse. All three outfits are all on trend and easy to throw on.
A basic ‘Working Mummy’ Winter Wardrobe.
– Three piece suit. Pants, Jacket and Skirt
– White shirt
– Simple black dress
– Winter Coat
– Black/Nude pumps
– V-neck knit jumpers. Perfect for layering.
Once you find your style, it is really easy to build and add trend pieces into your wardrobe.
The most important thing, is to make sure your wardrobe works for you. This is – making sure all your pieces work together. Whatever it is your dressing for?
One thing I like to do, is separate my work clothes from my mummy duty clothes. As a stylist I do get quite dressed up. That on my days off when I’m with the kids. I love my T’s and jeans. Lastly, it is important to think ahead. Find some time, to put some outfits together. Flat lay them on your bed. Then take photos. Like your own LOOKBOOK. This will save you time, when you’re in hurry!
