The world’s favourite astrophysicist, TV scientist, author, celebrity and world-recognised badass, Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson, is bringing his tour Down Under to Canberra for National Science Week to discuss all things outer space.

Dr Tyson once famously said, “One of my goals is to bring the universe down to Earth in a way that further excites the audience to want more.” His talents and opinions have seen him give talks the world over. One of Dr Tyson’s most famous controversial decisions was the removal of Pluto from the display of planets. The International Astronomical Union followed Tyson’s lead and in 2006 the organisation officially labelled Pluto as a dwarf planet.

Don’t miss Dr. Tyson’s ‘Ship of Imagination’ – his mission to progress critical thinking and the importance of science in our modern-day landscapes.
