After a week of rain, sunny days are here again! Hooray for that! We’re pretty pumped to escape the dry indoors for a big weekend running around the city with all it has to offer.
From exercise to eats to beats, we’ve got it all.
Enjoy!
1. Truffle Festival all across Canberra
All weekend
We’re heading into a massive eight weeks as restaurants all across Canberra conjure up magical meals featuring the regions’ most famous fungus.
It’s not all just sitting down and eating, though (although that part is very good). There are truffle hunts, cooking demonstrations and plenty of other events to experience this delicious treat. Why not do a hunt followed by dinner at one of the amazing restaurants involved?

2. Groovin the ANU at ANU Bar
Friday from 8.00pm
One of our favourite up-and-coming Canberra bands, Positive Feedback Loop, takes to the stage along with the Kevin Windross Band, Greenpegs and J18. What could be better than that? Well, $3.00 beers is a good start, so head on down to see the next-big-things in the Canberra music scene

3. Getting out and about at across the Southside
Saturday from 3.40pm
Kate Walker may love a cosy Friday night at Old Canberra inn, but she’s also discovered a fun little tour of the Inner South. Grab some friends, a bike and your tennis racket and follow in her tyre marks as she exercises, eat and drinks her way through Kingston and Manuka.

Saturday Night/Sunday Morning from midnight
Yet again, The Brumbies season hangs by a thread as they fly to South Africa to take on The Stormers in elimination Semi Final. It’s a long trek to make it to the game, but you can join other local fanatics here at Galaxy Nightclub.
There will be drinks specials at $5.00, which they’ll knock down to $4.00 if you’ve got your jersey on.
